200Hr All Yoga Ashtanga Teacher Training

The All Yoga Thailand 200-hour yoga teacher training will provide the inspiration, deepen your practice, and teach you how to share this amazing gift of yoga with others. All Yoga’s Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Certification will qualify you to teach worldwide. Under the wonderful guidance of our experienced international yoga instructors, you will learn asanas, history, pranayama, meditation, kriya and much more. To ensure the quality of the program and offer personalized guidance for each student, yoga teacher training is limited to 26 students.

The teacher training package includes dormitory accommodations, and all the classes and workshops.

This yoga teacher training is held in Haad Tien, on Koh Phangan, Thailand. Surrounded by nature, meditate to the crashing waves ashore and practice in the welcoming warm tropical sun. Walk through the ever exciting jungle and feel the warm tropical wind caress your skin. Immerse yourself completely in the sacred beauty that Thailand has to offer. It is perfect for yoga and meditation due to both its vast history in Buddhism and the abundance of tranquil landscapes.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 months consistent yoga practice in dynamic styles such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Power Yoga is required before embarking on this course.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

This is an in-depth introduction to the lineage of yoga, the history of Ashtanga Yoga, the 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, yoga sutra of Patanjali and study of the Bhagavad Gita. You will explore the Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage: from Krishnamacharya, Pattabhi Jois, to yoga as practiced today.

In this module, you will explore working with the breath: Ujjayi breathing, bandhas integration, the magic element Drishti and inner focus, Vinyasa and connecting breath and movement.

Insightful sessions on yoga anatomy and energy works within the body.

In this module, you will understand the benefits of pranayama, kriya and the importance of breath work. You will experience a cleansing practice, controlling the breath, controlling the mind, the purpose of pranayama, introduction and daily practice of meditation, focusing within, power of mindfulness and attention.

Learning sanskrit terms, the full Primary Series analysis, an anatomical breakdown of postures, alignment and benefits of the poses, as well as adjustments, variations and modifications.

Learn how to do inversions and arm balances safely. Understand the techniques that allow you to be light on the mat. You will practice jump back / jump throughs, how to do inversions safely, learning to fall, headstand – elbow stand – handstand and arm balance progression toward floating.

Discover your inner teaching voice and cultivate confidence in teaching. Learn how to sequence with flow, grace and apply the principles of teaching. You will learn the three main teaching methods: verbal, visual and physical, the science of sequencing, you will practice teaching, review etiquette and responsibilities in the classroom, discover the business of Yoga: how to market yourself in the yoga community, and develop your own personal teaching philosophy.

The styles include Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. You will be building a self practice, Ashtanga Yoga Mysore style, learn primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and MPS – the modified primary series and the progression of Ashtanga Vinyasa flow.

Certification

Attendance, quizzes, homework, and practical exams must be completed and achieved to satisfactory level. Upon completion, students will receive a 200 hour yoga teaching certification approved by Yoga Alliance. This certification is recognised globally.

TIME OFF Saturdays are a day off for all students. Haad Tien and the surrounding beaches offer a plethora of enjoyment! Try snorkelling, receive a Thai massage, eat at the nearby cafes, lounge in the sun on the shore, explore the surrounding jungle and coastline or simply relax in a hammock with a coconut!

Beam Bungalow Resort is located in Haad Tien Bay on Koh Phangan Island. Beam Bungalows rests on a hill top above a lush coconut grove and is moments from the ocean- a calm bay that is perfect for swimming or snorkelling. Two other bays are within walking distance of Haad Tien, offering you a little exploration around this beautiful part of the island on foot. Beam Bungalows is a family run operation that offers comfortable bungalows tucked in nature. The restaurant offers clean, fresh, tasty food and is always served with a smile. The yoga shala has sea breezes and amazing ocean views- the perfect place to practice!


From Koh Samui Airport, it's an hour ferry ride to Koh Phangan, then a 10 minute boat ride to Haad Tien Bay.

Food

The little bay of Haad Tien is famous for its healthy food choices and authentic Thai food - your options are limitless here with several restaurants at your disposal, all within a short walk. You'll find authentic dishes such as Pad Thai, green curry, papaya salads, rice paper rolls, fried rice, fresh seafood and more. 

Some restaurants offer raw vegan choices, and most can provide vegan and vegetarian dishes or variations on their menus, with plenty of meat and fresh, local seafood also on offer. There are fresh coconuts, fresh juices and smoothies available everywhere in the bay, and many restaurants offer vegan and vegetarian snacks and treats throughout the day. 

Evenings are stunning at Haad Tien, with the sun setting over the calm, clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand, and restaurants offering beachside or secluded jungle dining, with little noise but the sounds of nature.

Some restaurants and bars host nocturnal events, including movie nights and open mic evenings for your entertainment as you dine.

Koh Phangan is a holiday gem in the southeast region of Thailand. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush tropical trees, the island is an absolute escape from the busy city life.

Mostly known for yoga, detox and spiritual retreats, Haad Tien offers quietude to recharge the body and mind. It consists of a small, beautiful bay that is reachable via long tail boat or truck from the town of Haad Rin. There are several bungalow operations and a lovely sheltered bay lined with coconut palms. This is a very special and favourite place for travellers to the island and will remain in your heart forever. Don't miss the spectacular sunrises from the lookout!

Koh Phangan is easily accessed by ferries from Koh Samui or the mainland. Take a ferry to Haad Rin and then a short 10 minute boat ride around the corner to the lovely Haad Tien.
