3 Day Spring Weekend Yoga Retreat In A Manor House

In this retreat, you can welcome the spring morning with silent meditation and mantra chanting.

This is followed by the morning yoga class which focuses on classical hatha yoga. These sessions will naturally open the heart and nurture you to a space of surrender and stillness. A typical class will include asana or postures, pranayama or breathing exercises, hands-on adjustments, guided relaxation, chanting and a taste of philosophy.

Typically each class will last for 2 hours. You will then have breakfast followed by free time, massages and the afternoon yoga practice. In the evenings there will be other activities that may include meditation, inspiring cinema, bonfires and chanting. There's the library, the study, dining room and an informal space by the log fire and grand piano. There is a lovely woodland walk, which is a great opportunity to experience some of the wildlife beauties of the estate.

There will be delicious vegetarian food and plenty of time just to hang out and chat, meet new people, read, relax and enjoy being in the community in natural surroundings. A variety of massage treatments will also be available.

Venue   Braziers Park Manor House
Braziers Park Manor House, Venue for 3 Day Spring Weekend Yoga Retreat in a Manor House

Braziers Park is a warm country manor house, set deep in the beautiful countryside and the rolling Chiltern Hills of South Oxfordshire, an area of outstanding natural beauty. As one of the oldest secular communities in the UK, they endeavor to create a space that enables people to integrate both learning and teaching, and to find and develop their full potential in all aspects – intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual. They strive to understand more fully relationships with each other and with nature and society so that they can co-operate in taking constructive action in the world today.

There are real log fires, plentiful sofas and a grand piano amongst its charms, all set in 57 acres of land with beautiful gardens. Braziers is a working eco-community with sheep, chickens, a walled vegetable garden and an ancient orchard.

Visitors travelling by train are advised to go to the Reading central railway station and catch the X39 or X40 bus to Braziers Park, as these buses run from just outside the station. Goring and Streatley Station is around 40-60 minutes walk with steep hills. The nearest airport is Heathrow and there are regular buses going to Reading station.
