Take your teachings to the next level with advanced vinyasa sequencing and theming and analytical anatomy teachings. You will receive an in-depth training on teaching meditation, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and reaching special audiences such as overweight students, beginners and advanced practitioners. 


You will also learn daily yogic rituals that keep you on your yogic path including a strong module on Ayurveda. 


The advantage of this training is that it is offered in a working yoga shala and training group sizes are very small. You will have hands-on experience assisting students in the community classes. You will learn a great deal about teaching methodology by being involved in these classes and creating/giving classes of your own. 


Your payment includes your training manual(s), Ayurveda manual, restorative yoga training manual and “Mudras, Yoga in your Hands” booklet.  


You will receive free public classes during training, free public workshops during the training time, all kirtan/meditation sessions are included as well as your Yogic Lifestyle and Advanced Teaching certificate.

There are more and more organic stores popping up daily in this region to suit all tastes. Just a few steps away is a local restaurant with only 4 tables that makes juice or coconut water daily. They also very economical meals and snacks. Only 2 blocks away is a vegetarian restaurant with a daily buffet of vegan and vegetarian delights - lunch is ready when you arrive and is very economical.

There are Tienditas - “little stores” one block away with fresh fruit, nuts, breads, beans, veggies and fresh tortillas daily. Often students who live nearby don’t need to go to a big market as they can find what they need at the tiendita. There are numerous juice stands, fruit stands and sandwich shops very nearby as well as a coffeehouse only 5 minutes away by foot if you need a coffee or tea and some nice air-conditioning.

HOURS + TOPICS

This Yogic Lifestyle and Advanced Teaching program encourages the advanced teacher to uphold a Yogic Lifestyle by offering tips and techniques that you will practice during the course and long after the course. The program will give deeper or more subtle training techniques to the advanced teacher in order to support them and encourage them in their teachings and in their life. Topics include: Ayurveda, daily Dharma discussions, meditation, yoga nidra, injuries/modifications, Anatomy/Physiology, vinyasa sequencing, restorative yoga, advanced Pranayama techniques, practice teaching, observing, assisting, teaching special audiences, advanced sequencing, ethics, theme building techniques, Bhakti, Mantra, business of yoga, Seva community yoga.

Certification

The Yogic Lifestyle and Advanced Teaching Certification is awarded on the basis of successful comprehension and mastery of the principles and practices of this advanced course and by following the spiritual practices and yogic diet as well as successfully completing the practicum section of this course.

Time Off

This is an intensive course, yet there is time for swimming in the ocean and basking under the sun in your breaks. All evenings will include self-study homework, self-guided pranayama and meditation and journaling, of reading in your manual or creating sequences or study of Sanskrit. Friday evenings there is a Kirtan Mantra Meditation class.

A classic yoga school registered with the Yoga Alliance. Yoga classes are held in a renovated historic home with high ceilings and natural floors. The school offers all-levels group yoga classes and private yoga instruction. Group classes include: vinyasa, hatha yoga, morning yoga, mindfulness meditation, restorative yoga, Yogic Arts™ and Dharma Yoga classes. 


The school also has frequent Kirtans, visiting teachers, yoga immersions, special movie screenings and workshops to deepen your relationship with yoga. Dedicated to its students growth in their yoga practice and in their lives. They work with certified and compassionate teachers who are skilled at teaching on an Individual Asana Basis, adjusting the practice for the unique needs of each student.


There are two yoga spaces. The main studio space has a view to the ocean from most mats and high ceilings with natural floors. The roof-top space (open Oct.-May) has a 360º view from ocean to mountain tops and the beautiful Mexican tiled roofs in between, great for seasonal sunset yoga classes. The studio is only a few short blocks from the beach. Filtered water, clean mats and towel use are always available for free. They offer a comfortable and modern bathroom and shower as well. In the store, they have yoga accessories, yoga mats, yoga clothing and gifts.


The nearest airport is the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport, located just to the North of Puerto Vallarta proper, and just south of Nuevo Vallarta. Cabs and rental cars are readily available for your convenience.
