Venue   Tambo Ilusion
Tambo Ilusion, Venue for 5 Day Jungle Yoga Retreat in Peru

Tambo Ilusion is situated in the high jungle mountain region (400 meters or 1300 feet above sea level). It is a beautiful property of 14 hectares (34.6 acres) legally recognized by the Ministry of Environment of Peru as a private conservation area. The objects of conservation are its natural spring and the forest. Tambo Ilusión is also a guest house and retreat center which offers alternative lodging and retreat programs. Located in the rural area of Tarapoto in the San Martin region of Peru, Tambo Ilusión will transport you miles away from the city life.

Due to its geographical conditions, Tambo Ilusión is a natural haven for flora and fauna. It is ideal for people who want to get away from the busy life and come to a place full of nature and biodiversity. There are over 500 species of trees on the property and over 90 species of birds can be seen over the course of a year. In the forest of Tambo Ilusión, a trail of 1.4 km was opened where it is pleasurable to walk and observe nature's wonders.

In addition to forest restoration and protecting the water source, the place practices other activities such as the creation of a medicinal plant garden and work in the nursery. It is also starting the production of vegetables using permaculture techniques.

Tarapoto is connected by air to Lima. The flight takes one hour and fifteen minutes. The distance separating both cities is 618km (384 miles). There are four airline companies that fly daily to Tarapoto: Star Peru, LATAM, Peruvian Airlines and Viva Air.
