7 Day Eat Pray Move Form & Flavours Retreat

Praiano is one of the most inspiring towns on the Amalfi coast for its location and proximity to the more popular tourist-destinations of Positano and Amalfi.

Flanked on both ends by some of the coast's most amazing coves, this town is the perfect place to retreat!

Join this retreat and enjoy a daily yoga class overlooking the sea and walks around the breathtaking scenery of the Amalfi Coast as well as a day walking one of Italy's most renowned scenic hikes.

A daily meditation and yoga class will be offered at the start of the day in a way to relax, stimulate, and help guests grow in their own personal practice.

Classes are open to all levels, beginner to practiced, and can range from gentle, restorative, and more vigorous vinyasa flow and ashtanga styles.

Style and class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students' needs, and with a small intimate retreat class size, students will be able to get personalized attention and comfortability to deeply explore their practice.

A meditation walk will be included in the week as well. The week is balanced with the healthy "form" part of the retreat, but also with learning about and experiencing firsthand the amazing flavours of this region.

Each day you'll be able to enjoy mouth-watering cuisine, as well as take part in tastings from wine and olive oil, to cheeses, pastries, and lemons. From award-winning restaurants to family farms and kitchens, learning and enjoying the food will be an added bonus to working up an appetite during classes and walks!

The day trips will allow you to experience the many unique landscapes and activities that this area has to offer. You will begin your week with a lemon tour + cooking class, as well as a tasting of the region's famous mozzarella - both while visiting the famous nearby towns of Ravello and Amalfi.

You'll take a daytrip by private boat to the nearby island of Capri to see the chic sites of this beautiful "blue island" as well as visit to a winery with a tour and tasting of the wines that hail from this region.

Others days will be filled with time to relax by the private pool, and nearby beach, as well as a hike on the Sentiero degli Dei, one of Amalfi's most famous paths on your way to Positano for a lunch.

You'll end the week with a day at a 5-star spa being pampered with treatments and time to relax before ending the week with another scrumptious meal.

The cost of this exciting retreat includes hotel accommodation (spacious bedrooms each with private bathrooms, linens), daily breakfast and dinner, selected lunches, transportation to/from day trips, daily meditation and yoga class, use of hotel amenities (pools, relax rooms, etc.), tasting menu dinner + wine pairings, regional tasting tours - cheese, winery, lemon farm, winery visit + tasting lunch, hike the "path of the gods" to Positano, private coastal boat trip, day in Positano + 5* aperitivo, pizza class/demo, “gastro trekking" + lunch, group transfer from Naples on start/end days of retreat and a 5 star spa day + treatment.

Location

Amalfi Coast, Italy

An ancient fishing village, a low-key summer resort and, increasingly, a popular centre for the arts, Praiano is a delight. With no centre as such, its whitewashed houses pepper the verdant ridge of Monte Sant’Angelo as it slopes towards Capo Sottile. Formerly an important silk-production centre, it was a favourite of the Amalfi doges or dukes, who made it their summer residence.

Praiano, the name of which derives from "Pelagianum", Greek for 'open sea', has managed to conserve its authenticity, despite having become one of Italy's favorite tourist destinations. The town with the most romantic sunsets on the whole of the Amalfi Coast and the beautiful beaches of Marina di Praia and Cala della Gavitella, Praiano is considered to be one of the most romantic destinations in Italy. From Praiano, the panorama extends from the bay of Positano and the islets of Li Galli to Punta Campanella and the island of Capri.

Deemed an outstanding example of a Mediterranean landscape by UNESCO, the Amalfi Coast is one of Italy's most piercing destinations. Here, mountains plunge into the sea in a nail-biting vertical scene of precipitous crags, cliff-clinging abodes and verdant woodland. Turquoise seas and postcard-perfect piazzas aside, the region is home to some of Italy's finest hotels and restaurants. It's also one of the country's top spots for hiking, with well-marked trails providing the chance to escape the star-struck coastal crowds.

Praiano is located halfway between Amalfi and Positano, circa ten kilometers away from each. If you are traveling by car, head for Positano and then continue towards Praiano along the SS163. Those traveling by public transport should take the Sita bus running between Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi.

Food

Healthful, vegetarian food is part of the retreat experience, including breakfast and dinner daily, as well as selected lunches. The team has carefully chosen delicious and fresh meals from renowned restaurants and chefs which will give guests an expansive experience of the cuisine. The dinners will include a few multi-course tasting menus as well as tastings of the regional specialties throughout the week. You'll experience tastings from where certain local delicacies are produced like rocky vineyards to small family kitchens. And while on-site you'll dine in the hotel's dining room or outside sea-view terrace.

The unique tastes of Mediterranean cuisine and typical local food are waiting for you on the Amalfi Coast at Restaurant M’ama! of the Hotel Margherita of Praiano. Its panoramic terrace overlooking Praiano and the sea will welcome you and reveal to you the creative recipes of the sea and land of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Amalfi Coast.
